My Destiny
I was recently told that a foolish man chooses the road he wants to take and accepts his destiny but that a wise man chooses his destiny and accepts the road.
Sometimes the road has bumps in it. Sometimes you have to go up hill. No matter how bumpy it gets, no matter how hilly, no matter how many ups and downs the wise man reaches his destiny.
Often I find that in order to do God's will for my life I'm not always happy with the path he wants me to take. Making sacrifices is not always easy. I know though, that in the end, I will be happy with the road I took.
Here's to everyone choosing the right destiny for their life and accepting the road.

That road looks like it has some ups and downs.
@TheTheologiansCafe - it looks fun though!!!
@rbmegert - me too!!! The great thing about God is that he is able to forget so many of the WRONG detours that we have taken. He casts them as far as the east is from the west.
I agree with this so much. I am glad to say that I often look at the destination rather than the road! I have been saying to so many people lately 'it will be worth it in the end.'
I do think the world would be a much better place if everyone looked for the end result rather than the easiest road!
@ilovemy2babyboys - CRAP! You mean all this time i was supposed to be going East or West????? Last time i buy a GPS device from waywardwanderer.com
(*snicker* now to wait and see how many go check to see if that is, in fact, a website)
I can definitely relate to this! I just finished my freshman year of college and it was one of the toughest years I've had so far. It was very bumpy and although I wanted to give up I kept going for my future!Â
Wonderful blog...even if I did hear about it prior to reading it! :) I just read your Friday blog too...I really like it!
hey i love the road... is that for real???
but really, acceptance is the key... i would say that a wise man is ready to accept the consequences of his choices... :D destiny... its brought by our actions... and (if you believe in a Supreme Being) by a grand design that only He understands...
Some time ago I saw this: Decisions-------Direction------Destiny.
Amen to that.
Excellent post. Mind if I use that quote sometime???
